I've been a Meccano enthusiast since my childhood. My favourite models involve mechanisms.

This model was based on the VEX Robotics Pick & Drop Ball Machine from HEXBUG. This Meccano version was designed and built by me.

The marbles are lifted by an Archimedean screw made up from over 100 fishplates on a 11.5" screwed rod.
The diaphragms are made from a pair of rubber gloves stretched over 5.5" circular girders.
The model works incredibly reliably. During the making of this video not a single marble was shed.

This model is an enhanced version of the Meccano set 10 model. It has the same dimensions but has had additional cross-bracing added along with a floor at the first level.

Model 8.12 from the 1956 Meccano set 8 book of models. Constructed, modified and motorised by Keith Edwards in November 2019 using mid red/mid green Meccano from the 1950s.
Based on model 7.6 from the 1954 Meccano outfit manual, but with numerous modifications.
