Garden Railway
I began construction of my first garden railway, the Sandwell Valley Railway (SVR) in 2001. The railway was dismantled in 2017 due to moving house.
Construction of my present garden railway, the Stoke Prior and Wychbold Railway (WaSP) was begun in 2020. Find out more about the railway here.
Information about both railways can be found on my garden railway blog.
Garden Railway Videos
This video from 2014 was filmed on the Sandwell Valley Railway. It has been watched over 17.5 million times on YouTube.
The Fat Controller feels that steam engines are too dirty and that the passengers would appreciate a modern, clean and fast replacement, but things don't work out quite as he had hoped.
The trains all come through the middle of the house since the company bought the land. Filmed in 2024.
This video from 2023 is the sequel to Devious Diesel's Disaster.
Diesel is in disgrace. Not only had he destroyed Sir Topham Hatt's new paint store, he had also damaged himself so badly that he needed to be sent away for repair. His replacement is Paxton, another class 08 diesel electric shunting locomotive. He is a friendly and helpful engine. If he has a fault, it is being too trusting, and a repaired Diesel might just take advantage of this!
No trucks were harmed in making the video.
The Wychbold and Stoke Prior Garden Railway is a G Scale railway in Worcestershire, England. Construction began in June 2020 and is still ongoing. Filmed in May 2023.
