Caver Keith Videos
This was the opening video for conference to celebrate 50 years of British cave exploration and science which took place at the Royal Geographical Society in London in December 2017.
This video was filmed during trips in 2019 and 2022. The cave hides a secret, something that the original explorers went to extraordinary efforts to keep hidden. These efforts extended as far as to completely erase from the cave survey the passage where it is hidden.
A team from Dudley Caving Club set off to discover the passage and find out what it contains.
Filmed in 2023. Ogof Pasg and Ogof Foel Fawr are situated above Herbert's Quarry in the Brecon Beacons. The two caves were connected in 1988 to give a total passage length of 834 metres. Although relatively short, the through trip is a Welsh caving classic. Completing the through trip involves tackling a very committing squeeze over a fallen rock slab.
In UK caving circles Dudley Caving Club is known as the Dudley lot which is usually shortened to 'The Dudley'. This video is a homage to the opening credits to The Monkees TV shows of the 1960s. Filmed in South Wales, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, The Mendips and Dudley. It formed the first part of the conference opening video at Hidden Earth (the UKs national caving conference) in 2017 and was awarded first place in the video salon.
